Project: Corinthian Villa, Regents Park, London

Architects: Quinlan & Francis Terry Architects

Built: 2002

Value: £1.1 million

Brief description:

Built from Portland Coombefield Whitbed limestone, the front facade is serpentine in plan with spirally fluted columns and false perspective central doors and windows. A first in the history of English architecture. Extremely difficult work due to the complexity of the geometry of manufacturing and setting out of the serpentine elevation.
