Built: 2001-2002

Brief Description

Private residence built from English Ketton limestone, load bearing masonry walls externally and Carrara marble cantilever staircase internally, along with several marble fireplaces throughout the house. The complexity of the works here was that the design called for two curved wings to the main house that have arched openings within them. Curve on elevation and curve on plan leads to complex masonry setting out and skills with such large 3D stones. There was 1,600 tons of Ketton stone involved in this project.
